created software
what software have you created?

>honeypot or legitimate project?
>the funding and promotion are certainly unusual $18.5 million
>Sam Altman (Co-founder and CEO of OpenAI), Mark Zuckerberg (CEO of Meta), Tobi Lütke, Patrick Collison, Michael Dell, Jeff Friedman, Leonid Dubinsky, Stav Solomon, Aaron Reisman, Amir Harel, Benjamin Katz, Benjamin Wolf, Bruno Katzjarowski, David Dashefsky, Davis Goodman, Jacob Rosenthal, Nina Dubinsky, Roman Weisman, Salomon Mole, Yam Catzenelson etc.
>heavy promotion & large scale SEO (similar how Brave has promoted w/ $30 million spent)
>Meta, Cloudflare, Anthropic, OpenAI etc.
>Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Google Antigravity, GitHub Copilot etc.
>Spotify, 1Password, proprietary/web applications, Discord, WhatsApp, other commercial services
>includes Basecamp & DHH owned 37signals & related software/services
>1.5-2.0 GB RAM usage at idle + large default installation
>passwordless sudo w/ disabled sudo password prompts
>paid AI APIs, token-subscriptions
Reported security issues:
>accepts command injection through video titles, notifications, sudo helper
>Lua injection through USB device names
>privilege escalation/path injection
>unsafe temporary-file handling

Omarchy
Omarchy (by Omacom) is "We've made the decisions for you" Linux distro, heavily AI-assisted around proprietary software, designed to run proprietary AI coding agents (unusual security risk) having access to your full system, where they execute commands usually not stop for confirmation.>honeypot or legitimate project?

arch sucks. I didn't like that it wasn't as minimalistic as I wanted it to be, didn't find basic minimal tools I use, like wtf, where's st? If you want something "working out of the box" you have to install bunch of shit you will never use, and along the way you trust so much people in the process... BOO-HOO-HOOO.
Short verdict is that those memes you see on the web are made by baseless shills who want you to suffer a bit. Even fed distros don't shill their pet projects so much as do archfags. Let's be real, they need put a RED sign on their website "NEEDS SOME ASSEMBLY". You're not a jewtube distro reviewer, right.

At the time of this thread's creation, there are 125 days left until Google pushes a forced update to all available Android phones which block the use of third party apps by developers who have not verified their app using government ID, and place further restrictions on people's ability to download and use third party applications.
This cannot happen. Open Android stores like F-droid will fundamentally be broken, and Google will completely control the Android application ecosystem.
I would sincerely appreciate a moment of your time to take one or more of the following actions to change this outcome:
#0 Do not believe you are useless: if you believe that nothing can be done and this is not able to be changed, think positively! Change can happen with action!
#1 Spread the word: let others know this is happening and what they can do to help out, this could be friends, family, social media, onion forums, other boards, anything.
#2 Make a complaint(s): head to https://keepandroidopen.org/cta/#consumers, locate a country, and make one or multiple complaints about this issue. Please be sincere and professional in your responses, and use Alphabet Inc or Google in the target business. Most PII in the form is not required or can be faked if you like.
#3 Download a third party store: visit https://f-droid.org (http://fdroidorg6cooksyluodepej4erfctzk7rrjpjbbr6wx24jh3lqyfwyd.onion/index.html.en) and download the APK, verification instructions are here: https://f-droid.org/docs/Verifying_Downloaded_APK. They have an amazing software suite!
#4 Read and share the open letter: https://keepandroidopen.org/open-letter
If Google gets away with this, it will become the norm. Make your voice heard now. You will be helping yourself and everyone around you who carries an Android phone, and setting a precedent for other handset providers that they cannot follow in Google's footsteps without severe punishment and backlash.

Hello rainaons. I'm having troubles with fonts on my artix linux. As you can see some characters aren't rendered correctly. First picrel is warosu.org without monafont. Second picrel is the website after applying the font. Some characters are now rendered properly but it's not the case for all of them. What to do?
Here's where I downloaded monafont : https://sourceforge.net/projects/monafont/

is obsd just blows up in your face with hellfire and deletes your data? i used obsd for 5 picoseconds and it was rock solid, as a server though, and 0,23 picoseconds as desktop.
All i know is that it lacks fast filesystems (joke), which i asked around and NOBOD.Y. responded, but if it brokes itself, then nugh-ugh, not gonna make it.... XDDDD

So how does anyone else acquire their components?
factory sealed or used?
old or new?
Do you look into the next 5 years?
Do you buy power that you just don't need?
PC/Components Acquiring
For a while I have been intending to upgrade or get a new PC. It is quite a lot of things to handle and get comfortable with but my main issue is honestly how to even budget in 2025 and to acquire components that arent high end (whilst ignoring the techbros that insist and only list the high end when doing research)So how does anyone else acquire their components?
